The KGHA Competitive Committee and the Ottawa Senators Women’s Hockey (“Lady Sens”) organizations are pleased to announce the coaching staff for the upcoming 2022-23 season. We are thrilled to be welcoming back long time KGHA and LadySens coaches and introducing new faces to our Tier 1 programming.
Our U18AA team staff will consist of:
Adam Tate - Head Coach
Emma McFarlane - Assistant Coach
Anthony Barresi - Assistant Coach
Tatyana "Tia" Trovato - Goalie Coach
Adam has coached in the KGHA and Lady Sens organizations for many years. Together with Emma, their combined coaching experience (10 years+ in KGHA including multiple seasons with the U15 and U18 AA Lady Sens programs) and player experiences in the NCAA provide an excellent foundation to support our players reach the level of commitment and play necessary to achieve their hockey and academic goals. The addition of Anthony on the U18AA bench with his own KGHA and Lady Sens Tier 1 coaching experience in the U13 and U15 programs is a great asset to this three-year player cohort. Rounding out the bench staff is Tia Trovato as Goalie Coach who brings her own playing history in the PWHL and NCAA (including a PWHL Championship) to the squad.
Our U15AA team staff will be:
Blair Supryka - Head Coach
Ray Shannon - Assistant Coach
Blair joined the KGHA during the 2020-21 season as an assistant coach for the Lady Sens U18AA team and is currently the Assistant Coach with our Lady Sens U22AA program. He's also previously held a variety of head coach and assistant coaching roles in Tier 1 boys and girls hockey throughout the region. Blair is known for having a positive and calming influence on his players, with each of his prior teams showing remarkable improvements throughout the season. He continues to work as a skill development coach within the Ottawa-Carleton region. Together with Ray, another coaching veteran in the region who previously led our KGHA 2020-21 U13AA program, this duo packs a great 1-2 Coaching Punch that will only serve to accelerate our Tier 1 program!
We are confident that our U15AA and U18AA coaching staff will teach, encourage, challenge and support our players toward their full potential in the 2022-23 season!
