Anonda Hoppner and Tasza Tarnowski are National U18 Champions!

Anonda and Tasza represented the Ottawa Lady Senators very well as members of the OWHA Team Ontario Red at the 2015 National Women’s Championship in Huntsville.  Hoppner was awarded player of the game vs. SK during the preliminary round and Tarnowski was selected as an alternate captain and wore the “A” for Team Red.

Not only did the girls play a lot of great hockey but they also participated in many activities during the event including visits to a local senior’s centre and the team banquet on opening night.

In addition, Team Red had former Ottawa Lady Senator Jamie Lee Rattray as their video coach.  Jamie is a great role model and won gold twice at the U18 Championships when she was an OLS.  She went on to lead Clarkson University to a national title in 2014 and was named outstanding player in women’s college hockey.  She won gold with Team Canada U18 at the 2010 world championships and silver with the National Women’s Team in 2015.  She is now with CWHL’s Brampton Thunder.  You can find out more on Jamie and the U18 experience in Huntsville by checking out this video link

The OLS are very proud of our current and former players!
