Lady Sens blueliner Eve LeBlanc helped her home province New Brunswick capture the Atlantic Challenge Cup before an appreciative crowd in host Moncton on the Thanksgiving weekend.
New Brunswick dropped its opening match in the tournament 4-2 to Nova Scotia, but then reeled off four straight wins, including a 4-2 victory over PEI in its final game to clinch the Cup in the U18 female division.
LeBlanc, who wore the 'C' for New Brunswick, had a goal and an assist in the tournament.
The tournament drew 320 young hockey players, male and female, from across the Atlantic region. It was the 20th Anniversary of the Atlantic Challenge Cup, billed as Atlantic Canada’s High Performance Hockey Championship.
