FORMER LADY SEN IN GOAL FOR WHITECAPS AS PHF SEASON BEGINS NOV 5TH

Nov. 04, 2022

The Minnesota Whitecaps of the Premier Hockey Federation (PHF) will open the season on the road this weekend with a two-game series against the Toronto Six Nov. 5 and 6.

Whitecaps Goaltender Amanda Leveille played for the Ottawa Lady Senators from 2010 - 2012 under Head Coach Luke Richardson.

Amanda graduated from the Senators in 2012 and went to the University of Minnesota, Golden Gophers. The Gophers would win the NCAA championship three times by the time she graduated, finishing her college career fifth in NCAA history for wins and sixth for shutouts.

In 2015 Leveille was drafted 12th overall in the first NWHL draft, and in 2016 became the first NWHL draft pick in league history to sign with a team, when she joined the Buffalo Beauts. She played two seasons for the Beauts winning the Isobel Cup in 2017.

Since then she signed to Minnesota Whitecaps of the PHF where she won another Isobel Cup in 2019. Leveille is a two-time winner of PHF Goaltender of the Year, first in 2018 and then again in 2021.
