Congratulations!! to Jessica Cheung on bringing home a Bronze medal from the IIHF U18 Women’s World Championships in Zug, Switzerland.

Playing for your country in international competition is a major achievement and a great honour for these hard working, talented young athletes.

We were watching back at home and we are very proud of you Jess. Great job!

Canada were undefeated in round robin play. They overcame hosts Switzerland in the quarter finals before meeting a determined Czechia team in the semis. Czechia were able to pull off the upset over the Canadians 4-2 to advance to the gold medal game for the first time in their history. The USA finally took the gold medal 5-1.

Canada re-grouped to defeat Finland 8-1 for the Bronze medal.
