The post season is in full swing south of the border with the National Collegiate Championship Tournament bracket being set this past weekend.
Click here for the NC Championships Selection Show with information about the seeding and how the bracket works. It’s a great video explainer for those interested in NCAA women’s hockey.
Regionals are March 14 and 16, leading up to the Women's Frozen Four at Whittemore Center Arena in Durham, New Hampshire. (You can find the program for regionals here.) The national semifinals are March 22, followed by the championship game on March 24.
Lady Sens alumni feature across the bracket.
Former Lady Sens goaltender Kayle Osborne (2020) backstopped Colgate to their win in the ECAC Conference Championships, their fourth straight league title. Colgate are seeded 3rd and will begin their campaign in the quarter finals on Saturday March 16th.
Former Sen Gracie Sacca (2022) is a forward with Stonehill College who won the NEWHA Conference Championship this year; the first conference title in program history and a milestone for the young program in only its second year. As the NEWHA champions Stonehill qualified for the tournament and will play Cornell in Round 1.
The St Lawrence University Saints are also in the postseason, home of Lady Sens alumni Gabi Jones (2020), Mackenzie Clarke (2023), Jill Hennessy (2023) and Kassidy Lawrence (2023). The Saints earned an “At-Large” team spot and will play Penn State in the first round.
